The first part of this project involved conducting research on toy photography, writing a corresponding artist's statement, and finally completing a photoshoot with the Gunpla figures. All of the photos and lighting was done by me in the campus photo studio. These were originally intended as stand-alone images that later were expanded on into magazine spreads for my graphic design class.
As mentioned before, these spreads were created with my original images in mind. Much of the designs layout and content was informed by the images, I had fun creating spread around my own photos.
Finally, for my graphic design class, I created a series of merchandise mock-ups and stickers as well as logo and brand elements to make the brand breathe in a variety of different medias.
